Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Galvanizing Laborer to join our manufacturing team. This role offers an opportunity to work in a environment focused on metal finishing processes. The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to develop skills in manufacturing operations. Prior experience with mechanical tools or manufacturing environments is a plus, but training will be provided for the right candidate. This position is essential for supporting the galvanizing process, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining efficient workflow.
Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using cranes, forklifts, or hand tools
- Prepare metal components for galvanizing by cleaning, masking, or positioning parts
- Support the operation of power tools
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols and assist in adhering to lean manufacturing principles
- Perform basic assembly tasks and handle machining-related activities under supervision
- Support the movement of materials throughout the galvanizing line and related departments
- Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and routine maintenance tasks
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in using hand tools, and power tools
- Experience operating cranes and forklifts is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Ability to work safely around industrial equipment and follow safety guidelines diligently
- Strong teamwork skills with a focus on collaboration in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn new skills related to galvanizing operations and metal finishing processes

Shift Expectations
Day Shift (7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
- Prepare production lines for daily operations.
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Complete housekeeping tasks before shift end and communicate work status during shift handover.
Afternoon Shift (3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.) This shift includes a $0.75/hr. premium.
- Continue production to achieve daily output goals.
- Complete end-of-day cleaning and equipment checks.
- Secure work areas and ensure all production documentation is completed before the end of the shift.
Pay: $18.72-$23.92 per hour
