Job Purpose
Supports the development and maintenance of the Law Society’s Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions by automating business processes and improving system integrations, while collaborating with cross functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions and address issues using Power Platform tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
Qualifications
- Requires a minimum of a 2-year College program in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Microsoft certification related to Dynamics 365 platform is preferred but not required
- Requires a minimum of 3 years experience in software development specifically around the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform
- Microsoft certifications (Dynamics/Power Platform/Azure) is an asset
- Experience in Azure Data Factory is an asset
Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Office Suite / 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE, including configuration, Power Automate flows, plugins, security roles, and overall Power Platform components (Power Apps and Dataverse)
- Experience customizing Power Pages, including use of Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience supporting integrations using Azure services such as Logic Apps and Azure Functions
- Experience with C# / .NET development in a Dynamics 365 or Power Platform context
- Experience using Azure DevOps for work item tracking, source control, and deployment processes
- Understanding of the Dynamics 365 and Power Platform development lifecycle, including configuration, customization, testing, deployment, and documentation practices

Key Accountabilities
Client / Customer Service Delivery
- Assists in designing, developing, and customizing Dataverse entities/tables, forms, views, business rules, and security roles/teams within the Law Society’s Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions
- Supports and customizes integrations using Dataverse Web APIs, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps under established integration patterns
- Configures and customizes Power Pages and portal components, including web pages, templates, forms, and content snippets
- Troubleshoots and resolves assigned defects, enhancements, and support tasks in collaboration with senior team members
- Collaborates with business analysts, project leads, and functional teams to understand requirements and contribute to technical solutions
- Works closely with team members and client departments to assist in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues related to the Law Society’s Microsoft Dynamics 365 system
- Creates and maintains appropriate technical and support documentation
Special Projects / Initiatives
- Participates in assigned projects related to Law Society’s Dynamics 365 system
Research
- Researches and analyzes technology options and configuration approaches related to Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, assessing potential impacts to the Law Society’s systems and business requirements, and provides recommendations for review and approval.
- Maintains awareness of new and evolving Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and related technologies through technical documentation, online resources, training, and knowledge sharing with other professionals.
Customer Relationships, Communication & Influencing Others
- Shares knowledge and practical experience with the team regarding the Law Society’s Dynamics 365 applications, helping keep team members informed of system issues, updates, and ongoing initiatives
- Contributes to client department teams by supporting the effective use of information technology solutions to help improve business efficiency
