Job Description:
Handa Travel is seeking a Junior Travel Agent to join our dedicated team in Ottawa. This is a full-time, in-person position based at our office in Billings Bridge Plaza. In this role, you will be supporting our office and team of senior travel agents and ensuring the smooth operation of our business. You will play a crucial role as the first point of contact for our clients, creating a positive and professional impression. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Interaction:
- Greet and assist clients in person, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage client inquiries and requests via phone, email, and other digital channels.
- Office Administration:
- Maintain office supplies, equipment, and overall functionality.
- Organize and manage schedules, appointments, and office logistics.
- Travel Agent:
- You will handle research and planning for inquiries from new clients
- You will assist senior agents with research and planning for their existing clients.
- Create and curate engaging content to promote the business and engage with clients in store and online.
- Assist in digital advertising efforts to increase the company's visibility and attract new customers.
Qualifications:
- A degree or experience working as a travel agent or in a travel agency.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with digital tools, including social media and basic digital advertising.
- Detail-oriented and dedicated to maintaining a professional office environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities.
- Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment and ensuring the satisfaction of clients and colleagues.
