Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Early Childhood Educator Level 3 to lead a classroom within our Christian-based early learning program. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a passion for early childhood education, and a personal commitment to Christian values. This position plays a key role in supporting children’s growth in a nurturing environment that integrates faith and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement play-based, developmentally appropriate programming that aligns with both Alberta’s Flight Framework and the program’s Christian worldview.
- Lead and manage daily classroom operations, modeling respectful, Christ-like behavior in all interactions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other educators (Level 1 and 2), encouraging collaboration and professional growth.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and spiritually supportive learning environment.
- Integrate biblical principles, prayer, and age-appropriate Christian teachings into daily routines and learning activities.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and staff, reflecting Christian compassion and care.
- Maintain compliance with Alberta licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies.
- Document and assess children’s developmental progress, sharing insights with families while supporting each child’s spiritual, emotional, and academic growth.
Qualifications:
- Valid ECE Level 3 Certification from Alberta Child Care Staff Certification Office.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in early learning, preferably in a faith-based or Christian setting.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a classroom environment.
- Active Christian faith with a willingness to integrate biblical principles into daily teaching.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C).
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Familiarity with Alberta’s Flight: Early Learning and Care Framework.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Assets:
- Experience working in a Christian daycare, preschool, or early learning center.
- Training or experience in Christian education or ministry.
- Strong understanding of inclusive and culturally respectful practices within a faith-based context.

Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour
