Job Overview
Nova Staffing is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for our client to support quality and food safety operations within a crossdock warehouse environment. This role is responsible for ensuring products, processes, and the facility meet company quality standards through regular inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as an active member of the crossdock team and communicate any quality concerns
- Perform regular quality, grade, and weight checks on products
- Conduct daily quality audits and pre-operational inspections
- Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Support and monitor sanitation and cleaning schedules to ensure compliance
- Maintain accurate quality records and documentation
- Ensure all products meet quality and food safety standards
- Assist with general operations and support team workflow as required
Qualifications & Skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices (On-Farm Food Safety considered an asset)
- Familiarity with fruit grading procedures is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
- Forklift certification is considered an asset but not required
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions
- Warehouse / crossdock environment
- May require standing for extended periods
- Flexible schedule may be required, including weekend work and extended hours
Pay: $19.00 per hour
