We're seeking an experienced Senior Civil Estimator who is looking for more than just another estimating role. Key Responsibilities
Lead the estimating process from initial review through final bid submission for heavy civil construction projects.
Prepare competitive tenders for municipal, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify project risks and opportunities.
Develop bid strategies in collaboration with senior leadership.
Perform detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and pricing.
Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Coordinate project handoffs to operations and project management teams.
Mentor junior estimators and contribute to the growth of the estimating department.
Identify value engineering opportunities that enhance project quality and profitability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Qualifications
7+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
Strong background in municipal servicing, underground infrastructure, road construction, earthworks, and site development.
Ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams.
Experience with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is considered an asset.

Requirements
Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Kingston, ON before starting work.
Minimum 7 years of construction estimating experience.
Strong English communication skills.
This is an on-site, full-time position.
