About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Buyer to manage procurement activities across Canada and support North American operations. This role will act as a Procurement Subject Matter Expert (SME), driving sourcing strategies, vendor management, and cost optimization while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end procurement and strategic sourcing activities
- Conduct market analysis across indirect spend categories
- Manage RFX processes and negotiate contracts with suppliers
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors
- Drive cost savings and improve procurement processes
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and risk controls
- Collaborate with legal teams on contract terms and agreements
- Track sourcing activities and report on procurement performance
- Support procurement transformation initiatives and tools
Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing roles
- Strong expertise in strategic sourcing and category management
- Proven experience in contract negotiations and vendor management
- Ability to manage stakeholders across multiple regions
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with procurement tools (e.g., Ariba, Ivalua, Beeline)
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Bilingual in English and French
