Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Parts Person to join our team at Bobcat of Comox Valley. This role is vital in supporting both our customers and service department by sourcing, ordering, and managing parts efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced dealership environment. The Parts Person plays a key role in maintaining inventory, supporting technicians, and delivering excellent customer service while helping keep equipment operating efficiently for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers, technicians, and service staff with parts inquiries and orders in person, by phone, and through email
- Identify and source correct parts using catalogs, diagrams, and dealership software systems
- Process parts sales, invoices, payments, returns, and core credits accurately
- Assist the Parts Manager with maintaining organized inventory, including receiving, stocking, labeling, and performing cycle counts
- Coordinate with suppliers to order parts and track deliveries to ensure timely availability
- Work closely with the service department to support repair timelines and customer needs
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional workplace environment.
- Promote parts sales and recommend related products or solutions when appropriate
- Assist with Rentals Department as required
- Support day-to-day dealership operations and contribute to a positive team environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a parts, heavy equipment, agricultural, or dealership environment preferred
- A customer-centric mindset and strong communication skills are key
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to identify equipment components and parts accurately
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills with experience using inventory or parts management software considered an asset
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with inventory control, ordering processes, and supplier coordination is an asset
- Familiarity with Bobcat equipment and parts systems considered an asset
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
- Previous experience operating forklifts or Bobcat equipment is preferred; however, we are willing to train motivated candidates.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
