Your career as our Construction Administrator will have you working directly with the Construction Manager as well as assisting the office staff occasionally. You will be required to complete tasks delegated to you within tight time-lines assigned to each specific job. This position requires the ability to work in team environment, as well as being able work independently with minimal supervision. You will be an integral part of our home building process and your work will directly benefit San Rufo Homes and our clients. We are dedicated to providing superior crafted homes and exceptional customer service across the greater Edmonton region as we continue to grow.
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will act also as the receptionist and administrator for the office portion of production and sales tasks in order to contribute to the success and effectiveness of our projects.
Duties include:
- Answer the reception phone
- Assist visitors with inquiries and appointments
- Assist the Construction Manager on a daily basis
- Assist other managers on a daily basis
- Communicate with office, sales and construction staff
- Review, update and maintain progress reports and Tracking Sheets
- Complete and Troubleshoot Utility applications for new construction job sites (ATCO, EPCOR, Direct Energy, etc.)
- Enroll and register houses in Alberta Warranty and Progressive New Home Warranty Program
- Complete construction file creation
- Assist and create change orders and colour charts for spec model files
- Data entry assignments as requested by office staff
- Prepare and distribute production documents any and all relevant job information including but not limited to plans, engineering documents, interior selections, etc.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of experience in the new home building industry with at least one year of experience with building custom homes
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Individuals considered must be highly organized and have the ability to take direction
- Must have a desire for learning and personal growth within the home building industry
- Proficient with Windows, Adobe Professional and Microsoft Office Suite
- General knowledge of the Alberta Warranty Standards and Building Codes
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Thorough understanding of construction terms, scheduling and planning concepts.
- Expert ability in accurately interpreting project specifications and plans.
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience using HomeFront an asset
