Overview
We are looking for an experienced construction worker, who has minimum 3-5 years of experience in concrete construction, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of construction, including concrete forming, pouring, vibrating, cutting, and some finishing. Rebar installation, anchor bolt installation, grouting, or complete understanding of blueprints and specs an asset.
Since we are also an excavation company, candidates that have experience with excavation and excavation related types of work will be strongly considered.
Responsibilities
- Physical work, apply their experience and knowledge with concrete pouring, forming, and some finishing.
- Have the ability and experience to either vibrate concrete or finish concrete correctly
- Read and interpret blueprints for concrete projects
- Use power tools for cutting, shaping, and smoothing concrete
- Collaborate with carpenters and other team members to ensure project completion
- Perform general labor tasks such as mixing concrete, moving materials, and cleaning work areas
Qualifications
- Prior experience forming and pouring walls, piers, footings, and general ICI concrete work.
- Proficiency in using power tools for construction tasks
- Knowledge of blueprint reading for construction projects
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment
- Drivers license and vehicle is a firm requirement.
-Ability to commute up to 1.5 hours (compensation for travel provided).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
