Live-In Health Care Aide (Weekday & Weekend Positions)

Thrive at Home Care is looking for two compassionate, dependable, and professional live-in Health Care Aides to support a wonderful client in their home. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships while working in a comfortable home environment with significant downtime between care needs.
Available Positions
Weekday Live-In Caregiver
- Monday at 8:00 a.m. to Saturday at 8:00 a.m.
Weekend Live-In Caregiver
- Saturday at 8:00 a.m. to Monday at 8:00 a.m.
During your scheduled rotation, you will live in the client's home and be available to provide assistance as needed. While there are scheduled care tasks throughout the day, there is also considerable downtime for personal activities while remaining available if assistance is required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene
- Assist with transfers and mobility
- Support meal preparation and light household tasks related to client care
- Provide companionship and supervision
- Monitor for changes in the client's condition and report concerns
- Follow the client's care plan and preferences
- Maintain accurate communication with the care team
- Be available to provide assistance if needed during overnight hours
Qualifications
- Health Care Aide Certificate required
- Experience supporting individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and/or Down syndrome is considered an asset
- Experience with safe transfers and mobility assistance
- CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract
- Compassionate, reliable, flexible, and professional
