We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Renovator to join our construction and restoration team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of renovation projects, including carpentry, drywall, flooring, kitchen and bathroom installations. This role requires a strong understanding of interior construction processes, the ability to complete jobs independently and on a team. The Renovator will play a vital role in transforming spaces through precise craftsmanship and efficient project execution. We are a small team that restores and renovates properties in disrepair which means each team member is a part of every step from demolition to finishing. This is a position for someone with a wide range of experience who enjoys new challenges at every job.
Responsibilities
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Perform carpentry tasks such as cabinet installation, framing, trim and general woodwork
- Install common flooring types.
- Install bathroom fixtures, hardware and finishes.
- Board and finish drywall, paint, trim.
- Assist with planning and materials estimating.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope.
- Exterior work is also part of the role but is a smaller percentage. We do roofs, siding, windows and doors, decks, painting and landscaping.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or renovation roles.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, flooring installation, tile laying, cabinetry installation, bathroom installation, trim-out and painting is highly desirable.
- Basic math for layout, patterns and measuring.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of renovation work
- Prior experience in restoration projects or working within a team environment is advantageous
