This Position reports to:
Production Manager
This internship will take place at the Iberville plant. The student will therefore be required to work on-site from Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities

50% of the intern’s time will be dedicated to managing health and safety projects or initiatives.

Manage various improvement projects within our production operations.

Consult and collaborate with employees to implement Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) or engineering projects.

Plan, organize, and follow up with stakeholders while supporting change management efforts.

As needed, support the Quality team in improving production-related issues.

Act in accordance with ABB’s core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your actions while caring for your colleagues and the company.
Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Production, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience in project management and operational process optimization using Lean Manufacturing principles.

Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, MRP systems, AutoCAD; VBA programming is considered an asset).

Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage projects and priorities based on objectives; excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Collaborative team player with leadership abilities.

French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
