Overview
Kingsmen Capital is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Business Development Executive to support company growth across the Greater Toronto Area. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with strong communication skills, a confident presence, and the ability to build meaningful relationships within the broker, lending, business, and financial services communities.
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, representing Kingsmen Capital at meetings and industry events, building referral relationships, coordinating road shows, delivering broker presentations, and supporting the company’s overall business development strategy.
This is a client-facing and field-based role that requires regular travel throughout the GTA for meetings, events, presentations, and relationship-building activities. The successful candidate must be comfortable networking, presenting, following up with partners, and acting as a professional representative of Kingsmen Capital in the market.
The compensation package for this role includes an annual salary with performance-based bonuses included, based on experience, results, and overall business development activity.
Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and grow relationships with brokers, referral partners, business professionals, and industry contacts across the GTA.
- Attend in-person meetings with brokers, partners, and prospective referral sources to promote Kingsmen Capital’s financing solutions.
- Plan, coordinate, and attend road shows, networking events, broker events, trade shows, and industry-related functions.
- Deliver professional presentations to brokers, partners, and business audiences regarding Kingsmen Capital’s products, services, and referral process.
- Identify new business development opportunities and support strategies to expand Kingsmen Capital’s market presence.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships within the mortgage, lending, commercial finance, business, and broker communities.
- Support event planning efforts, including coordinating logistics, preparing materials, confirming attendees, and following up after events.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure referral partners receive timely communication, support, and updates.
- Maintain accurate records of meetings, partner activity, follow-ups, and business development efforts using company systems.
- Track relationship-building activity, referral opportunities, event outcomes, and market feedback.
- Represent Kingsmen Capital professionally at all external meetings, events, presentations, and partner interactions.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to support campaigns, broker outreach, promotional materials, and event initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry trends, broker needs, business financing solutions, and market opportunities.
- Provide feedback to management on partner engagement, market trends, competitor activity, and potential growth opportunities.
- Support the development of industry-relevant relationships that strengthen Kingsmen Capital’s brand presence and referral network.
Experience
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Finance, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
- Equivalent experience in business development, sales, relationship management, financial services, or broker relations will also be considered.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, relationship management, or a similar client-facing role is preferred.
- Experience in financial services, business financing, lending, mortgage brokerage, commercial finance, or B2B sales is considered a strong asset.
- Strong networking, relationship-building, and follow-up skills.
- Confident presentation skills with the ability to speak professionally in front of brokers, partners, and business audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage meetings, events, follow-ups, and multiple priorities.
- Comfortable attending external meetings, road shows, networking events, and industry functions throughout the GTA.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle is preferred due to the travel requirements of the role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM systems, and general business communication tools.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with internal sales, marketing, and management teams.
- Professional, outgoing, and confident when representing the company externally.
- Bilingual communication skills in English and French are considered an asset.
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
