As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in patient care—supporting clinical procedures, patient flow, and education.
We are also seeking someone who can step into an administrative role, helping to coordinate daily operations and support team communication.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide support with comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and pre-examination procedures
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all required equipment and supplies are available and functional
- Assist with medical treatments and procedures as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Deliver patient and family education on health maintenance, treatments, and medications
- Accurately document all aspects of patient care using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Coordinate care with external healthcare providers and community partners
- Greet patients, schedule, confirm and manage patient appointments
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other communications
- Enter OHIP billing into the EMR
- Assist with other administrative tasks

- Knowledge of privacy legislation and confidentiality requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (current or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Experience with OHIP billing is a strong asset
- Experience in a family practice or primary care setting is a strong asset
- Experience with Telus PS Suites is an asset
