Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Marijuana Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients in selecting the right cannabis products, ensuring a positive shopping experience. This role requires a strong understanding of product offerings, compliance with regulations, and excellent communication skills. The Budtender will also handle sales transactions accurately and maintain an organized retail environment.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assess their needs to recommend suitable cannabis products
- Educate customers on product effects, strains, dosages, and consumption methods
- Operate POS systems for cash handling and sales processing with accuracy
- Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain knowledge of current inventory, merchandising standards, and promotional displays
- Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations regarding cannabis sales and storage
- Manage inventory levels through proper filing and stock organization
- Assist with store merchandising, product displays, and cleanliness standards
- Handle cash transactions responsibly and perform basic math calculations for change
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries professionally and courteously
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, hospitality, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual skills in French or other languages are a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word; basic computer skills required
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and computer operation necessary
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., stocking shelves or moving inventory)
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and filing tasks
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of cannabis products, industry regulations, and safety standards is advantageous
- Multilingual capabilities enhance customer engagement across diverse communities
