Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the accuracy of prescriptions. Prior pharmacy technician experience are highly valued, along with strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures. Previous Compounding experience or a desire to learn is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and labeling prescriptions accurately
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and offering medication guidance under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including stocking shelves and checking for expired medications
- Enter prescription data into pharmacy systems with attention to detail
- Verify prescription information for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards and safety protocols
- Support medication administration processes when applicable, ensuring proper documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and medication plans
Qualifications
- Previous pharmacy technician experience necessary.
- Previous compounding experience is needed or a desire to learn compounding.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Compassionate approach to patient care with strong communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy fast-paced environment is necessary.
- Certification or licensing as required by provincial regulations.
- Knowledge of Kroll pharmacy software systems is needed.

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
