Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician Journeyman/Journeywoman to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and reliable electrical operations on construction sites, renovation projects, and ongoing maintenance tasks. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete installation and repair tasks.
- Work on construction sites performing electrical system setups for new builds or renovations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Diagnose electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot low voltage and high voltage systems.
- Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry and general contractors to coordinate project timelines and specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for project documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong background in electrical systems installation and maintenance.
- Valid journeyman/journeywoman or master electrician license or certification.
- Hands-on experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical control systems.
- Familiarity with NEC standards, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction site safety protocols.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment required for troubleshooting.
- Experience working on renovation projects or new construction sites involving low voltage and high voltage systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and follow detailed instructions precisely.
