Since opening in 2016, we’ve built a reputation as a Calgary favourite rooted in a vegetable-forward philosophy: bridging the gap between what you should eat and what you really want to eat. Our kitchen is creative, fast, and uncompromising. We’re looking for a Sous Chef who belongs here.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership position in a high-volume, high-standard kitchen. You’ll work directly alongside our Head Chef to drive consistency, creativity, and culture, with a clear path forward for those who earn it.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Leading and executing service across all stations with precision and composure
- Mentoring and developing a talented team of cooks, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
- Collaborating on seasonal menu development rooted in our vegetable-forward, boldly flavoured identity
- Overseeing mise en place standards, ensuring every shift begins and ends with intention
- Managing inventory, ordering, and cost controls in partnership with the Director of Kitchen Operations
- Upholding food safety, cleanliness, and health standards at all times
- Stepping into the Head Chef role with full confidence when needed
- Contributing to the ongoing creative direction of one of Calgary’s most talked-about kitchens
Who You Are
You’ve earned your stripes somewhere that demanded the best of you. We’re looking for candidates with experience in Canada’s 100 Best or OpenTable Top 100 restaurants, Michelin-recognized kitchens, or internationally acclaimed programs. Stage experience abroad is a genuine asset; we value Chefs who’ve gone out into the world and brought something back.
You Bring
- 3+ years in a senior line or Sous Chef capacity in an acclaimed, high-volume restaurant
- A deep respect for seasonal, ingredient-driven cooking
- Strong leadership instincts and the ability to elevate the people around you
- Full open availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. This kitchen runs 7 days a week
- A collaborative spirit balanced with the confidence to own a room
- Ambition for growth and for the craft
