We are looking for an Mechanical designer for building service, and recent university graduates who have a passion to pursue a career towards Mechanical Professional Engineer in the consulting industry.
Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical engineering work (design & drafting) related to mechanical systems: HVAC, plumbing and drainage and fire protection
Under the supervision of senior mechanical engineer, prepare concept reports, meeting minutes, specification and contract administration documents
Conduct site survey for existing conditions when required
Carry the Heat Loss/Gain calculation as required for HVAC systems
Obtain information on equipment from suppliers and select equipment with input from senior designers
Skills & Qualification:
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree, working towards P. Eng.
General knowledge of AutoCAD/REVIT
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) products
Engineering consulting experience in building HVAC, Plumbing and Drainage systems preferred.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with colleagues and clients
Attitude of taking independent initiative, exhibiting creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, while remaining dedicated to teamwork.
Understanding of design codes and standards is an asset.
