Position Overview: We are seeking a receptionist who is a skilled customer service professional with a passion for supporting patient experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical office administration/reception (medical background preferred) and a strong commitment to patient. You will collaborate with a supportive, multidisciplinary clinic team to ensure each patient receives the best possible care tailored to their individual needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival, providing a professional and courteous first impression
- Answer phone and email
- Scheduling appointments for in-clinic practitioners and home care
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed
- Direct billing insurance companies through EMR and insurance portals
- Collect patient co-pays and insurance information, processing payments securely
- Develop rapport with patients and ensure positive patient experiences
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to infection control protocols
- Monitor retail stock and product ordering
- Light housekeeping
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, time management and organization skills
- Experience in a high-volume clinic/office setting
- Experience with medical software/EMR software for billing and scheduling (experience with Jane app an asset)
- Previous experience in medical office/administrative healthcare setting
- Ability to multi-task, problem solve and work with professionalism under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of medical terminology as it relates to footcare an asset
- Diploma in Medical Office Administration preferred or education + medical background experience equivalent will be considered
- Police record check (required)
- Professional references will be requested

Wage: $19/hr to start
