Job Description:
Delivery Driver is a permanent, full-time position, from Monday through Friday during regular business hours. Other general duties as required may be assigned, including assisting in the warehouse when deliveries are complete.
Responsibilities:
- Daily deliveries within Windsor, Essex County, Lambton and Kent County using a straight truck and/or a cube truck
- Follow delivery routes
- Verifying and ensuring accuracy in shipping and receiving of goods and obtain signatures
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Assist with picking and organizing customer orders
- Completing paperwork
- Adhering to all Company operational policies and procedures, including health and safety
- Completion of other general duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Valid Class D-Z driver’s license preferred
- High school graduate preferred
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle
- Driving experience with straight trucks (with or without airbrakes) and cube vans, operating a forklift and a pallet jack an asset
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Experience delivering goods in Windsor, Essex County, Lambton and Kent County an asset
- Ability to read, understand and prepare shipping documents
- Courteous with staff and customers
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs
- Self-motivated, good communicator, dependable and excel in a team setting
