Job Description:
The ECE Teacher will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children aged 1 to 5 years. The teacher will design and implement age-appropriate activities that promote developmental milestones, support social and emotional growth, and encourage creativity and exploration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement daily lesson plans and activities that align with the developmental needs of toddlers.
- Create a positive learning environment that is both safe and stimulating.
- Monitor and assess each child's development and communicate progress with parents and guardians.
- Maintain classroom order and structure, ensuring that all children are engaged and participating.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive educational experience.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care at all times.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and any concerns.
- Follow all state regulations and guidelines for early childhood education.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Education
- Minimum of 1 year of full time experience working with children in an early childhood education setting in BC.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- A warm, nurturing, and patient demeanor.
- Holds a Canadian citizenship or PR

Schedule:
- shifts vary, as this is an on-call position
- Day shift (7:30 to 5pm)
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
