Overview
Sky Lounge is looking for hardworking, reliable Barbacks to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get their foot in the door in Ottawa’s nightlife scene and gain hands on experience in a fast paced bar environment. We are looking for people who enjoy nightlife, work well under pressure, and understand how important speed, organization, and teamwork are to keeping service running smoothly.
Duties
- Support bartenders during service by keeping the bar stocked, organized, and running efficiently
- Restock liquor, beer, mixes, garnishes, glassware, ice, and other bar supplies throughout each shift
- Collect and wash glassware while maintaining cleanliness and organization behind the bar
- Keep bar stations, storage areas, and service areas clean, stocked, and ready for high volume service
- Remove empty bottles, garbage, and used bar materials promptly
- Assist with opening, setup, breakdown, and closing duties as required
- Help move stock and supplies quickly and safely throughout the venue
- Communicate with bartenders, servers, and management to support smooth service flow
- Assist with floor and service support when needed during busy periods
- Promote Sky Lounge events, specials, and nightlife experiences through personal outreach and social media when required
- Help maintain the energy, atmosphere, and professionalism of the venue throughout the night
Requirements
- Previous bar, restaurant, nightclub, or hospitality experience is an asset
- Strong work ethic and ability to perform in a fast paced, high pressure environment
- Ability to stay organized and move efficiently during busy service
- Comfortable lifting and carrying kegs, cases, ice, glassware, and other bar supplies safely
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable promoting events and representing the venue professionally in person and online
- A social media presence is considered an asset
- Reliable, punctual, and available for late nights and weekends
- Must enjoy working in a nightlife environment
- Must be legally eligible to work in Ontario

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $17.60 per hour
