About Us
705 Handyman is a growing home improvement and property maintenance company serving homeowners and businesses throughout Simcoe County. We take pride in delivering professional, high-quality workmanship while building lasting relationships with our clients.
We're currently looking for an experienced and motivated handyman or construction professional who can confidently manage and execute a variety of residential and commercial projects.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate has experience planning, organizing, and completing projects independently or as part of a small crew. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates professionally with clients, and is committed to delivering quality results.
Experience in the following trades is considered an asset:
- Carpentry
- Drywall installation and repairs
- Roofing
- Concrete repairs and finishing
- Landscaping
- General renovations and maintenance
Candidates are not required to have experience in every trade listed above; however, preference will be given to those with broader construction and renovation experience.
Responsibilities
- Complete residential and commercial repair, maintenance, and renovation projects
- Read and execute project plans and work orders
- Communicate professionally with clients from project start to completion
- Work independently or alongside a small crew of 2–3 team members
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Manage time efficiently and complete projects on schedule
- Represent the company professionally at all times
Requirements
- Experience in general contracting, renovations, construction, or handyman services
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a criminal record background check
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and on rooftops
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat and winter conditions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to occasionally work extended hours when required
