Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated person to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, finishing and/or millwork installation. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects including framing, and finishing, contributing to high-quality construction and renovation projects. Candidates should be comfortable with heavy lifting, using power tools and hand tools, and working in various construction environments. This position is paid and requires a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings and plans to accurately execute construction tasks
- Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment to construct structures such as siding, framing, or other building components
- Execute carpentry tasks including cutting, fitting, and installing woodwork or other materials according to project specifications
- Assist with heavy lifting of materials and equipment to ensure smooth workflow on-site
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and best practices
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction-related roles such as carpentry, millwork installation, or general building trades
- Knowledge of construction drawings
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing
- Strong understanding of safety procedures in construction environments
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
