Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to perform repairs efficiently and accurately. This role involves working on a variety of vehicle makes and models, utilizing both hand tools and power tools, and adhering to safety standards. Experience with dealership procedures, welding, and reading schematics is highly desirable. The Automotive Mechanic will play a key role in ensuring customer vehicles are repaired to the highest standards, contributing to customer satisfaction and the overall success of our service department.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using mechanical knowledge and schematics
- Perform repairs including engine work, brake systems, suspension, transmission, and electrical systems
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during repair procedures
- Conduct maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Weld components as needed for structural repairs or modifications
- Assemble parts and components following manufacturer specifications
- Follow dealership or company procedures for vehicle repairs and documentation
- Assist with vehicle inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance needs clearly
Experience
- Previous dealership experience is preferred but not required; relevant mechanic experience is essential
- Proficiency in automotive repair techniques across various vehicle systems
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools
- Experience with welding, assembly, and heavy lifting tasks is advantageous
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on skills using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnostics and repairs
Pay: $23.82-$46.25 per hour
