Smartwork Electrical is seeking a skilled and motivated Site Foreman to lead electrical construction projects from start to finish. This key leadership role is central to ensuring smooth on-site operations, maintaining safety standards, and driving project success. We are looking for a professional with strong technical expertise, proven supervisory experience, and the ambition to grow into a Project Manager position within our expanding company.
Duties
- Supervise all on-site electrical activities and ensure work follows plans, schematics, and safety standards.
- Lead electrical crews with clear direction, mentorship, and strong leadership.
- Coordinate daily tasks with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients for efficient workflow.
- Conduct routine site inspections to ensure quality workmanship, project progress, and safety compliance.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Assist with basic project scheduling and planning to maintain project timelines.
- Support budgeting and cost control by tracking labor, materials, and changes in scope.
- Perform or oversee electrical testing and troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, inspection records, and reports on site progress and issues.
- Ensure all work is completed to code, safely, and with high attention to detail.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in electrical construction or supervision (commercial, residential, or industrial).
- Strong understanding of electrical installation practices, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Proven leadership ability with experience supervising electrical crews.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Knowledge of contract requirements, job site coordination, and typical construction sequences.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with teams, clients, and management.
- Proficiency with basic digital tools (email, photos, documentation apps) required.
- Hands-on ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and ensure safe work practices.
