We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable PART TIME Junior Accountant to join our accounting team.
Reporting directly to the Controller, the Junior Accountant plays an important role in supporting accurate financial reporting and day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, process, verify, and reconcile purchase invoices
- Assist with cheque runs and payment processing
- Reconcile and process employee expense claims
- Maintain accurate vendor and customer information within the accounting system
- Respond to vendor and customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues
- Reconcile month-end supplier statements
- Assist with bank deposits
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems
- Provide support with additional accounting and administrative functions as required
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Reliable, honest, and professional with a high degree of confidentiality
- Experience with payroll and Microsoft Navision is considered an asset
Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
