Program Assistant – Child Care Resource & Referral (CCRR)

We’re looking for a Program Assistant to join our CCRR team — someone who thrives on collaboration, values inclusion, and believes in the importance of quality child care for every family.
In this role, you’ll provide meaningful support to local child care providers and families, facilitate playgroups, coordinate training events, and promote the CCRR program throughout the community. Whether you’re helping a parent navigate their child care options, creating engaging social media content, or planning a caregiver appreciation event, your work will help build stronger, more connected communities.
What You’ll Do:
Support and engage care providers through outreach, resources, and regular communication- Provide guidance and referrals to parents and families seeking quality childcare
- Coordinate and help deliver training sessions, workshops, and community events
- Facilitate playgroups that offer safe and enriching experiences for children and families
- Create compelling newsletters and social media content that inform and inspire
- Collaborate with a supportive team to ensure high-quality services and community outreach
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and data to support program effectiveness
What You Bring:
A strengths-based approach that builds relationships and uplifts others- Early Childhood Education diploma and at least 1 year of relevant experience
- Confidence using tools like Canva to create inviting social media content
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently within program goals
- Clear communication, cultural humility, and a commitment to inclusivity
Additional Requirements:
Clear Criminal Record Check- Current First Aid & CPR certification
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance
- Annual driver’s abstract
Shift/Schedule/Hours per week: Temporary PT; 12.5 hours per week for the month of July and August
Expected Start Date: ASAP
Wage/Salary: starting at $29.22/hour
Grid Level: 11
