The YMCA of Central East Ontario operates out of three major Health, Fitness and Recreation facilities as well as approximately 20 community locations. Our team consists of more than 350 staff members and over 150 volunteers. POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Cleaner, your role will be to ensure the facility is kept in a clean and safe condition and that the work is completed in a safe manner.

WAGE: $17.60 hourly
VACANCY: 1 Vacant Position
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sweep, mop, scrub and dust childcare facility program areas
- Stripping of floors
- Clean and disinfect all areas including washrooms
- Assist in prep work of wooden floor system
- Ability to work from ladders in a safe fashion
- Laundry duties may be required
- Ability to learn how to operate equipment safely
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE POSITION:
- Secondary School Diploma
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous cleaning experience preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Uniform is required for each shift
- Work completed primarily indoors, some outdoor work
- May require some heavy lifting and ladder work
- Supports full-time cleaners
- Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- Day shifts
