Mirror Works is seeking a reliable and hardworking Glass Shop Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with the fabrication and preparation of custom glass products while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and prepare glass for fabrication.
- Assemble shower doors, mirrors, railings, and other custom glass products.
- Operate shop equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Inspect glass products for quality and accuracy before shipment.
- Package finished products for delivery or installation.
- Load and unload glass safely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management and material handling.
- Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a glass shop, manufacturing, or construction environment is an asset but not required.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials safely (up to 50 lbs or more).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Ability to read a tape measure and follow production drawings is an asset.
- Forklift or overhead crane experience is an asset.
