Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher(Tutor) to join our educational team.
Responsibilities
- We are seeking Science tutors for students in Grades 3 and 12. The tutors will guide the students, fill any gaps in their knowledge and help them improve their grades. You will need to assign extra practice after every class.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to different learning styles.
- Teach Science concepts ranging from basic arithmetic to advanced topics, ensuring clarity and understanding among students.
- Provide individualized tutoring support to students who require additional assistance in grasping mathematical concepts.
- Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for mathematics.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to guide their learning journey.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field is required; teaching certification is preferred. Previous experience teaching the curriculum in Ontario is a MUST.
- Previous classroom experience is highly desirable, demonstrating effective teaching strategies and classroom management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey mathematical concepts to students of varying abilities.
- Experience in tutoring or providing one-on-one support is a plus, particularly for students needing extra help.

- Certification: May hold a current, active, and in-good-standing license from the Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) or someone who is in process of getting OCT.
Teaching Division: Qualifications in the Intermediate or Senior (I/S) Divisions are highly preferred.
Education: A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and a corresponding undergraduate degree in a relevant Science.
