Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Class 1 Truck Driver to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and exceptional service.
Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as skid steer or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and proper handling
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in compliance with regulatory standards
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in truck driving
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or other equipment when necessary
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and cargo securement regulations
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for vehicle inspections and documentation
- Oilfield tickets required
