Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Junior Sheet Metal Worker/labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have some experience in sheet metal fabrication, installation, repair, and maintenance, as well as a willingness to learn and grow in the field. As a Junior Sheet Metal Worker, you will work under the guidance of a Senior Sheet Metal Worker and will be responsible for assisting in the fabrication, installation, and repair of sheet metal products and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the fabrication, installation, repair, and maintenance of sheet metal products and systems
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings
- Assist in estimating material requirements and costs
- Maintain equipment and tools
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and management
Qualifications:
- Some experience in sheet metal fabrication and installation
- Willingness to learn and grow in the field
- Ability to learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and procedures is an asset
- Basic sheet metal/hand tools required
Education and Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some training or education in sheet metal fabrication and installation is an asset
