CPA – Hospitality Industry
We are currently seeking a CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) on behalf of our client, a growing hospitality business. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in Vancouver, BC. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise, hospitality industry experience, and the ability to oversee financial operations in a fast-paced environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee full-cycle accounting and financial reporting functions
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to support business operations
- Oversee payroll processing, GST, PST, and other tax filings
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Support internal controls, cost management, and operational efficiencies
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- CPA designation (required)
- Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, restaurants, or hotels
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance
- Experience with hospitality accounting systems and accounting software
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
