- Responsible for the assembly, cooking, plating and garnishing of all food products according to the company's specifications
- Ensure the meals are prepared in a timely manner
- Oversee the kitchen operations, inspect kitchen and food service areas
- Maintain a clean work place all times, ensure checklists and cleaning schedules are followed during shift
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Ensure invoicing is correct of quantity and quality, ensure that each product leaving the kitchen has been properly accounted for
- Work with specialized cooking equipment (ex: deep fryer etc.)
- Ensure quality of food, determine size of food portions
- Rotate inventory and keep record of expiry dates, to ensure food safety
- Assist in training and development of new employees
