Under the general direction of, or in conjunction with the Unit Manager, the Supervisor - Campus Eateries is responsible for the supervision of culinary employees. The role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, providing direction and supervising assigned staff, ensuring staff appearance and uniform compliance, handling conflicts, scheduling workload assignments and breaks, approving time records, overseeing training of new staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels, and enforcing policies and procedures. The Supervisor - Campus Eateries is responsible for the production and delivery of food products and ensuring food is served at proper temperatures, with samples taken and properly stored as necessary. The role will also inspect the presentation and taste of food items served, portioning and merchandising.
The Supervisor - Campus Eateries is responsible for ensuring the food service unit meets health and sanitation standards, administering first aid, completing accident reports, maintaining temperature logs, completing office paperwork and daily cash balancing.
