Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Machinery Operator specializing in Excavator operation to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, and backhoes on large-scale projects. This role involves operating machinery safely and efficiently to support various construction activities, including grading, paving, and horizontal drilling. Candidates with a strong mechanical background and construction experience are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and paving machines in accordance with project specifications.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and material movement to support construction operations.
- Coordinate with project managers and team members to execute tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues and performing basic repairs when necessary.
- Support horizontal drilling operations and other specialized tasks as required on the job site.
- Maintain a clean work environment around machinery and ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience operating excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and paving equipment in a construction setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with machinery and attachments is preferred.
- Ability to operate horizontal drilling equipment and perform related tasks efficiently.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Physical stamina to operate machinery for extended periods in various weather conditions.

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
