Regular Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Additional Requirement: On-call support as needed.
Salary Scale: $50,000 - $60,000
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Dispatcher to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating daily operations, supporting customers, and ensuring that all orders and safety requirements are handled accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
· Create and process customer orders in our dispatch/operations system
· Perform general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and documentation
· Conduct and document safety checks and inspections in accordance with company policies and regulations
· Monitor ongoing jobs and adjust schedules as needed to meet service and safety standards
· Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding order status, scheduling, and any issues or delays
· Coordinate with drivers/field staff to ensure accurate, timely dispatching and job completion
· Maintain accurate records that support accounting, billing, and reporting functions
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Above-average computer skills, including proficiency with office software and the ability to quickly learn new systems
· Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills; able to make sound decisions under time pressure
· Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
· Basic understanding of business accounting principles (e.g., invoicing, costs, margins, and billing accuracy)
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Previous dispatch, logistics, or operations experience is an asset but not strictly required
· Understanding of fuel and fuel transportation is an asset
