Wholesale Manager
Full-Time Position
Reports to: General Manager
Grass Root Dairies is looking for a reliable, organized, and hands-on Wholesale Manager to join our team. This role is an important part of our daily operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurate, shipments run smoothly, inventory is maintained, and our store team has the support they need.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys working with people, and is comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with hands-on tasks in a fast-paced food production environment.
Key Responsibilities Wholesale & Order Management
- Accurately enter customer orders into our ERP system, verifying product codes, quantities, and pricing.
- Prepare customer orders and coordinate quantities for loading with the Transport Manager.
- Print invoices and prepare shipping documentation.
- Communicate with customers regarding incoming orders, shipments, and order details.
- Maintain organized digital and physical records related to orders, inventory, and shipping.
Inventory & Production Support
- Monitor inventory levels and identify low-stock items.
- Initiate replenishment requests and assist with inventory planning.
- Perform regular inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor deli product inventory and coordinate production needs.
- Organize cooler inventory and aging room areas as needed.
Store & Team Coordination
- Manage day-to-day operations for store staff and the cutter.
- Prepare daily task lists and help coordinate priorities.
- Support staff with questions, challenges, restocking, and daily workflow.
- Step in as a store clerk when needed to support customer service and store operations.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist in the cutting room when needed.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment, including outside appearance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills with customers and coworkers.
- Experience with inventory, order processing, retail, food production, or operations is an asset.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment.
