Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Supervisor to oversee and coordinate our supply chain and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will manage transportation, inventory, and order fulfillment processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective logistics functions. This role requires strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of warehouse distribution, procurement, and supply chain management systems, along with proficiency in data analysis and process improvement initiatives. The Logistics Supervisor will play a key role in optimizing warehouse performance and maintaining seamless coordination across all logistics activities.
Duties
- Supervise, plan, assign and review the work of clerks engaged in the following duties: shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and maintaining inventories of materials, parts and products; processing purchasing transactions; coordinating production work; dispatching crews; scheduling transportation crews and routes; and other related activities
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures for safety and security, standards and regulations in force and participate in their improvement
- Resolve various problems and related complaints and implement corrective measures and process improvements
- Train workers in job duties
- Requisition supplies and materials
- Ensure smooth operation of computer systems, equipment and machinery and arrange for maintenance and repair work
- May conduct performance reviews of supervised workers
- May perform the same duties as workers supervised.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution, supply chain management, procurement, and materials management.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), freight coordination,.
- Data analysis skills for interpreting logistics metrics and identifying process improvements.
- Familiarity with CMMS for maintenance scheduling within warehouse environments.
- Ability to manage sourcing activities including vendor selection and pricing negotiations.
- Hands-on experience with shipping & receiving operations, order fulfillment processes, and order picking techniques.
- Competence in using e-commerce platforms for order processing and customer service support.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to coordinate teams effectively. Contract length: 24 months
Pay: $32.50-$35.50 per hour
