Overview
We are seeking a motivated Roofer Helper to join our construction team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in roofing and general construction projects. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, hardworking, and capable of assisting with various tasks on job sites. No prior roofing experience is required, but familiarity with construction tools and safety procedures is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist roofers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems
- Carry and set up materials, tools, and equipment needed for roofing projects
- Use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and utility knives safely and efficiently
- Support carpentry tasks related to framing or structural adjustments as needed
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood, and other roofing supplies
- Read and interpret basic blueprints or project plans to assist with project layout
- Apply caulking or sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing of roofs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
Requirements
- Prior experience with hand tools, carpentry, or handyman work is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
- Basic understanding of construction processes and safety standards
- Willingness to learn new skills related to roofing and construction trades
- Strong work ethic with reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
Pay: $20.89-$42.28 per hour
