We are currently recruiting for the term position of Apprentice Plumber/Labourer. Please note, there is a possibility of extension on the 6-month term. This position will assist the Delco Water department, and all work will take place within Delco's shop and out of the elements.

Responsibilities
- Install supports for piping and equipment.
- Fabrication and installation of schedule 80 PVC and stainless-steel spools.
- Mounting of pumps, motors, and vessels.
- Interpret and follow drawings (general arrangements, piping isometrics and P&IDs).
- Operate band saw and various power tools/ hand tools to fabricate/ assemble parts.
- Assist in pressure testing of equipment.
- Assist service department with various internal and external tasks as required including fixing or servicing pilot units and other equipment, and fabrication of chemical panels for projects or maintenance/service customers.
- Assist with loading of completed skids during preparations for shipping.
- Assist with unloading of frames in DW’s shop.
- Assist the Shipping & Receiving department.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area.
- Participate in toolbox/ safety meetings.
- Participate in hazard assessment meetings during skid moves or other unusual operations.
Required
- 1st or 2nd Year Apprentice Plumber.
- Experience in construction or manufacturing
- Mechanically inclined
- Detail-oriented
- High physical ability
