Position Overview
Rockwater Secret Cove Resort is seeking a certified Yoga Instructor to provide relaxing and engaging yoga sessions for resort guests. This is a casual, on-call position with classes offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays based on guest bookings and demand. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, guest-focused, and able to create a welcoming environment for participants of varying skill levels.
Responsibilities
- Lead scheduled yoga classes on Wednesday and Saturday mornings based on guest bookings
- Create a calm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants
- Deliver safe, engaging sessions suitable for a range of experience levels
- Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and adjustments as needed
- Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled classes
- Set up and pack down yoga space and equipment as required
- Ensure guest safety and respond appropriately to participant needs
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and guest service throughout all interactions
Skills and qualifications
- Certified Yoga Instructor (recognized training program required)
- Previous experience leading group yoga classes preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, friendly, and guest-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and adapt to varying class sizes and skill levels
- Reliable, punctual, and well-organized
- Knowledge of safe yoga practices and modifications for different abilities
- CPR/First Aid certification considered an asset
