The Opportunity
We are hiring two Fitness Attendants to provide weight floor supervision and member support at our corporate offsite fitness centres. This role is ideal for Kinesiology students or new grads looking to grow their skills in a professional, purpose-driven environment and gain exposure to members who may be interested in personal training in the future.
As a contract worker, you are responsible for your own payroll remittances to the Government of Canada and GST.
What You’ll Do
- Be a visible, welcoming presence on the weight floor and in the conditioning centre.
- Engage with members, answer questions, and role model safe, effective training behaviours.
- Provide new member orientations and basic individualized exercise instruction within your scope.
- Assist with registration software, check-ins, and general member inquiries.
- Support group fitness classes with check-ins, set-up, and equipment organization.
- Keep the weight floor clean, organized, and safe (plates, dumbbells, attachments, studios).
- Help with light cleaning, towel rolling/stocking, and supply restocking.
- Assist with events, workshops, and promotions as directed by the Fitness Director.
- Report equipment or facility issues promptly and help maintain a safe environment.
What You Bring
- Personal Training Certification, or equivalent education.
- Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain before start date).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Genuine interest in evidence-informed, purposeful training and long-term wellness.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a positive team culture.
