UnEarthed Excavation Ltd. Is seeking skilled and dedicated Pipe Layer/Labourers to join our team. The Pipe Layer /Labourers will be responsible for the installation of residential underground services including power, water and sewer. Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Assist with the installation of residential water, sewer, rainwater leader/storm systems, and power
- Operate in confined spaces, trench awareness
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more
- Install construction fence paneling as per site conditions
- Operate various hand and power tools
- Ensure work is always done safely, to the highest quality standard while maintaining strong production
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program and industry’s safety standards
- Ensure compliance with current ground disturbance regulations
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to ensure project specifications and timelines are met.
- Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity
- Other general labour tasks as assigned
Required Skills:
- 1+ years of experience preferred.
- Exceptionally safety conscious
- Ability to read and interpret house plans, plot plans and site markings
- Able to work independently and follow instruction from coworkers, foreman/management
- Strong communication skills
Required Certifications:
- First Aid Certificate
- Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
- Ground Disturbance - Level II program
- WHMIS
- Clean Drivers Abstract & Valid Drivers License
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent
- Must have reliable transportation
