We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, self-starting Dental Assistant to join our well-established, fast-paced dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by preparing patients, assisting with a wide range of dental procedures, and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow throughout the day.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a busy environment and be able to multitask while maintaining exceptional patient care and attention to detail. Responsibilities include: chairside assisting, room setup and tear-down, some sterilization, and ensuring operatories are fully stocked and ready for procedures. Ideal candidate has 3+ years working as a dental assistant.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms before procedures and complete room tear-down and sterilization after each patient.
- Sterilize dental instruments and maintain infection prevention and control standards to ensure a clean and safe clinical environment.
- Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of procedures, including, but not limited to:
- Dental implants
- Crown and bridge procedures
- Same-day CEREC restorations
- General restorative dentistry
- Orthodontic procedures
- Pediatric dentistry
- Take high-quality dental radiographs and 3D CBCT X-rays
- Perform digital impressions using the iTero/CERAC scanner.
- Operate and assist with CEREC technology for same-day restorations.
- Prepare materials, instruments, and equipment required for dental procedures.
- Provide patients with oral hygiene education and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix and Dexis software.
- Support the front desk team as needed, including booking patients' next appointments and ensuring excellent communication with patients.
- Monitor, maintain, and order dental supplies and inventory as required.
- Maintain operatories in a clean, organized, and fully stocked condition
- Work collaboratively with the entire dental team to ensure exceptional patient care and an efficient daily schedule.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (Level II strongly preferred).
- HARP Certification required.
- Experience assisting with dental implants, crown and bridge procedures, and restorative dentistry.
- Experience taking 3D CBCT X-rays.
- Experience using CEREC technology and iTero digital scanners.
- Proficiency with Dentrix and Dexis software is preferred.
- Orthodontic experience is considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of dental assisting procedures, infection prevention protocols, and medical terminology.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced dental office.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing outstanding patient care.
Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
