Operations Analyst – Collateral Controls:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an Operations Analyst – Collateral Controls for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.
Operations Analyst – Collateral Controls - Job Description:
The Operations Analyst – Collateral Controls will play a critical role in managing collateral movements and ensuring compliance with counterparty guidelines. The role involves processing month-end interest items, setting up new accounts, and ensuring accurate interest rates in systems. The position also requires providing backup support and assisting with projects and policy updates.
Operations Analyst – Collateral Controls - Responsibilities:
- Ensure all month-end interest items are processed and confirmed as per counterparty guidelines
- Capture daily collateral movements on time and accurately
- Follow processes to mitigate risk of error
- Set up new accounts and Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI) as per policy
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve productivity
- Complete month-end interest reconciliations and escalate items as required
- Escalate any issues or non-adherence to policy and procedures
- Provide backup to Team Lead and other team members as required
- Ensure interest rates are accurate and up to date in systems
- Assist on monthly General Ledger (GL) Attestation
- Provide input and testing assistance on projects
- Update procedures and policies as required
- Perform functions for IS Trust ensuring compliance with CASS rules for client money
Operations Analyst – Collateral Controls - Mandatory Skills:
- Knowledge of SWIFT Payments
- Experience in Collateral Management
- Familiarity with Standard Settlement Instructions
- Understanding of financial markets, banking, or accounting
- Knowledge of RIMMS, iMatch, Acadia, Colline
- Experience with processes involved in confirmations and settlements
Operations Analyst – Collateral Controls – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Canadian Securities Courses and/or CFA
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Experience in process improvement
