Our growing team at North Vancouver Dentistry and Implant Centre is seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Dental Administration/Receptionist to join our growing dental practice. This position plays an important role in creating an exceptional patient experience from the very first interaction while supporting the daily operations of our practice.
The ideal candidate is welcoming, confident in person, on the phone, highly organized, and able to communicate professionally through phone, email, and SMS. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, adaptable, and committed to following established systems and protocols that help us deliver a consistent standard of patient care.
The position is part time Friday & Saturdays (Exception of long weekends) with a full-time opportunity in 2027.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients with warmth, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out efficiently.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments while maintaining an organized schedule.
- Answer incoming phone calls confidently and professionally, providing excellent patient service.
- Respond to patient inquiries through phone, email, and SMS using professional communication.
- Verify insurance information and process patient payments accurately.
- Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring confidentiality.
- Coordinate communication between doctors, clinical team members, and patients.
- Assist with administrative duties including filing, scanning, correspondence, and data entry.
- Help maintain efficient front office operations and support overall practice workflow.
- Follow existing office systems, protocols, and standard operating procedures consistently.
- Contribute positively to a collaborative, supportive, and patient-focused team environment.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a dental practice is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable and confident answering and making professional phone calls.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Professional communication skills using email and SMS.
- Friendly, welcoming, and patient-focused personality.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn, receive feedback, and continuously improve.
- Ability to adapt to and follow established systems, workflows, protocols, and instructions.
Assets
- Experience using Tracker 11 dental software.
- Experience with dental scheduling and patient management software.
- Knowledge of insurance processing and dental administrative workflows.
- Previous experience in customer service or healthcare reception.

Schedule
- Friday 8am to 4pm
- Saturday 8am to 3.30pm

- Depending on experience, skills, and productivity
